Expert witness discovery is governed by Rhode Island’s Rules of Civil Procedure, Rule 26. R.I. GEN. LAWS ANN. § 5-26 (West 2017). This rule does not state whether financial information, including fees and expenses paid to an expert witness, is discoverable. Id. Case law on the matter is scant, so the statute is the main governing authority on the matter.
