Expert witness discovery is governed by Iowa’s Rules of Civil Procedure, Rule 1.508. IOWA CODE ANN. § 1.508 (West 2017). This rule allows discovery into the amount of compensation that the expert is being paid for its testimony in said capacity. Id. Aside from this, the rule and case law are both scant as to what more is discoverable in regard to an expert’s financial information.
