Expert witness discovery is governed by South Carolina’s Rules of Civil Procedure, Rule 26. S.C. CODE ANN. § 5-26 (2017). This rule allows discovery of fees and expenses surrounding the expert’s testimony. Id. When discovery disputes arise, the discretion as to whether something will be discoverable or not is given to the court. Arthur v. Sexton Dental Clinic, 628 S.E.2d 894 (S.C. Ct. App. 2006).
